ATHENS, GA – Local developer, The Dovetail Companies, has begun construction on its 10th student housing project, this time at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL.
“We are excited about coming to Tuscaloosa this 2010 school year” said Dave Mulkey, CEO of The Dovetail Companies. “The student housing market at the University of Alabama has been great to us so far and the site location right near Midtown Village shopping is going to be a great convenience for our tenants.”
The Woodlands of Tuscaloosa will house 708 residents in phase I when it opens this August. Phase II is scheduled to open August 2011 with construction beginning this fall.
Designs call for a variety of two, three and four bedroom townhomes and flats with modern interiors and detailed architecture.
Amenities include a 9,000 square foot clubhouse, hammock grove, fire pits, lagoon pool, volleyball, cyber café, HD theater, rock wall, state-of-the-art fitness center, weight room, cardio room, yoga room and billiards to name a few.
