Tom Scott

Chief Financial Officer - Partner

Tom has overseen and financed numerous commercial, multi-family residential, student housing and redevelopment projects for the past 17 years. The Athens, GA native obtained a degree in Accounting from the University of Georgia and in 1994 opened his own CPA firm, Trinity Accounting Group. Eight years later, he partnered with Dave Mulkey to create The Dovetail Companies, an award-winning, Athens, GA-based development company.

Tom is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors for The National Bank of Georgia.

Tom has held many leadership positions in the community including: the Emmanuel Episcopal Day School Board of Directors, the Athens Clarke Heritage Foundation Board of Directors and the Mayor’s Planning Commission Committee for Multi-Family Zoning. He is also the former President and Chairman of the Executive Board of Monsignor Walter J. Donovan Catholic High School. Tom and his wife Lori are parents of twin boys: Guy and Wells.
