Schedule Control

A scheduler facilitates bi-monthly meetings on site with Dovetail personnel and subcontractors. Detailed reports showing trend charts, schedule vs. actual, task lists and schedule revisions are distributed to on-site management, subcontractors and our corporate office. Our Web-based project management tool, AutoDesk Constructware, provides online review of any project site in the country from the home office.

Weekly meetings with all sub-contractors and on-site personnel creates a healthy competition to perform. On-schedule performance is rewarded throughout the Dovetail organization from the COO to the Material Handler on a jobsite.

Safety & Risk Management

An independent safety consulting firm provides OSHA training and makes unannounced site inspections at least monthly throughout the job duration. This firm has the authority to issue citations to subcontractors and to shut down a jobsite if an unsafe condition is observed. A detailed safety report is distributed and immediate action remedies any reported unsafe condition. In addition, Dovetail is a drug-free workplace.

Technological Advances in Subcontract Management

Our mid-range enterprise system, Microsoft Dynamics, manages our project budgeting, financial cost controls and reporting. Bio scanners are in place for all Dovetail employees to track and manage all payroll hours.
